Woman sentenced for record tampering

A Maumee woman has been sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court for tampering with records, according to Prosecutor Scott Haselman.

Amber L. Phillips, 24, pleaded guilty to the offense, a fifth-degree felony, which occurred on or about Sept. 3, 2013, to June 15, 2014.

Judge James E. Barber sentenced Phillips to four years of community control, and ordered her to pay $14,704.17 in restitution to the victim through the county Clerk of Courts and maintain gainful employment.

Failure to fulfill these conditions could result in six months in prison.
