Just in time for a Valentine’s Day outing, Wauseon F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service to Humanity) invites area residents to a A Night of Jazz & Sweets with the Paul VornHagen Trio on Friday, Feb. 12 from 7-9 p.m. at Four County Career Center in Archbold.
Enjoy an evening that includes a complimentary dessert and coffee bar along with a professional jazz trio. Tickets are $25 per couple and $13 single. Information is available by calling 419-335-8406.

Paul VornHagen is an accomplished jazz saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist who has won Detroit Music Awards on six separate occasions, including for Best Jazz Reads, TDWR, and Best Instrumentalist. He was nominated in two categories, Best Album and Best Jazz Vocalist.
Living in Ann Arbor, Mich., VornHagen has performed in many different venues including the Detroit metropolitan area, Toledo, Chicago, Cincinnati, New York City, San Francisco, West Hollywood, Paris, and Southern France. The 2004 recording, Kindred Spirits” features VornHagen’s versatility and refined tone on tenor, soprano, and alto saxes and well as flute and four vocals.
When performing in jazz clubs and concerts he is usually accompanied by piano, bass, and drums. F.I.S.H. members are excited and feel privileged to be able to bring such an accomplished jazz artist to northwest Ohio.
Wauseon F.I.S.H. serves two food pantries and offers a monthly free food giveaway. F.I.S.H. also provides assistance with prescription drugs, rent, heat, utilities, and gasoline for emergencies.
