Panthers earn first win

Three total touchdowns by Jason Beverly, two on offense and one on defense, propelled Delta to a 27-8 win on the road at Toledo Rogers in non-league football last Friday night.

Beverly accumulated 56 yards on the ground on 10 carries to go along with a pair of scores. He also had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Dylan Rogers was the Panthers’ leading rusher as he finished with 153 yards and a TD on just 16 carries. The senior also notched a safety from his linebacker position.

Delta (1-1) outgained Rogers 270-165.

The Panthers have their home opener this Friday when they welcome Tinora to finish off their non-league schedule.
