Wauseon boys cross country places fourth, girls 10th at Defiance Early Bird Invitational


Wauseon cross country got a fourth place finish from their boys team and 10th place from their girls at the Defiance Early Bird Invitational Saturday morning.

Kyle Vernot was the lead runner for the boys, taking ninth with a time of 16:28.66. Michael Cheezan was 16th with a time of 17:00.53.

Hannah Richer placed 17th for the girls, finishing the race in 20:52.88.

The Pettisville girls team placed fourth, led by Nichole Foor (19:45.15) who won the race. The team from Archbold took seventh, while Evergreen was eighth.
