CJ Moser records hole-in-one for Wauseon

DEFIANCE – A pair of area golf teams did well at the Defiance Bulldog Invitational held at Eagle Rock Golf Club Monday.

Archbold won the event with a 330 score, edging second place Kalida by one stroke. Their top four golfers all finished in the 80’s as Kade Kern posted an 80, Trevor Rupp 82, Brandon Miller 83 and Mitch Grosjean 85.

Wauseon came in at third with a 343 team total.

The highlight of the day came from Wauseon’s CJ Moser who recorded a hole-in-one on the 130-yard third hole. He did so using his pitching wedge.

Moser was also the team’s leading golfer with a 75. Eric Parker was next with a 86, Trent Armstrong 90, and Caleb Leu 92.

Both teams are back in action this morning at the Paulding Panther Invitational which starts at 9 a.m. at Auglaize Golf Club in Defiance.
