The Pike-Delta-York Local School District hired Andrew Hange to be the new 7-12 athletic director at the district’s June 21, 2017 board meeting.
Hange comes to Pike-Delta-York from Walnut Ridge High School (Columbus City Schools) where he served as the athletic director for the last five years. He has an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, and a Master degree from Xavier University in Sports Administration.
Hange, originally from northwest Ohio, is a 2005 graduate of Fairview High School.
“I would like to thank the Board of Education, Dr. Haselman, Mrs. Reighard, and Mr. Ford for selecting me to serve as the Athletic Director at Pike-Delta-York” said Hange. “The opportunity to join a progressive school district which emphasizes academic and extracurricular excellence, backed by strong community support, creates a great fit. Most importantly, I look forward to getting to know the kids, coaches and staff at PDY and becoming a part of the Delta community.”
“We are very excited to add Andrew to our district team,” Superintendent Haselman said. “We are excited about his proven leadership ability, his communication skills, and his vision for our athletic department.”
Hange was selected from a competitive pool of applicants. The district received 32 applications, of which, 11 were interviewed by the hiring committee. The committee consisted of multiple district administrators, a representative of the district’s coaching staff, a representative from the Panther Athletic Club (PAC), and a longtime community member.
