EDON – On Saturday, June 10 Brandon Coopshaw, a student at Pettisville Schools, entered the track at Stateline Speedway in Edon. Racing in both his flat kart in the Purple Plate category and Junior Sportsman cage kart, he took the track by storm by not only winning two heats, but taking first place in both feature races.

Last year, Coopshaw, 11, placed first in his flat kart at the Midwest Race of Champions. He is gearing up to race there again on July 22. The race is held at Stateline Speedway and it is the largest race in the Midwest.
