Indians win fourth straight

Wauseon girls tennis won their third and fourth games in a row last week as they picked up a pair of victories on the road. The Indians defeated Maumee 5-0 on Thursday and Sylvania Northview by a final of 3-2 on Friday.

Winning singles matches for the Indians against the Panthers were Autumn Dominique, Mackenzie Eberly and Paige Moden. Wauseon’s doubles teams of Sarah Becker and Maddi Rice, and Kaitlyn Sager and Samanthat Martin were also victorious.

The Indians swept the singles portion of the competition in their match with Northview on Friday. Dominique won by a score of 6-1, 7-6 (8-6 tiebreak) in first singles, Eberly 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 in second singles and Moden 6-4, 6-3 in third singles.

Wauseon hosts Sylvania Southview today at 4:30 p.m. before traveling to Archbold on Thursday for a match-up with their rivals.
