Wauseon softball drops Ottawa Hills

Wauseon earned an 11-1 victory in five innings over the visitors from Ottawa Hills in non-league softball Monday afternoon.

Maddy Martinez paced the Indian offense as she finished 2 for 3 with three runs batted in. Katie Couts (2 for 2) and Ally Tefft (1 for 3) each drove in a pair of runs.

Alisa Shelt got the win in the circle for Wauseon, going four innings and allowing a run on two hits with eight strikeouts.

The win improved their record to 14-5. They will next host Bowling Green for a sectional final game in Division II on Friday.
