Pettisville baseball downs Stryker, Liberty Center

Behind Nate Hartzler’s complete game effort on the mound, the Pettisville baseball team defeated Stryker 6-4 at home on Thursday. It was the Panthers’ second loss on the season and first in Buckeye Border Conference play.

Hartzler got the win after allowing four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.

Justin Rupp went 1 for 3 and knocked in a pair of RBIs for the Blackbird offense. Dillon King (1 for 3), Hartzler (1 for 1), John Rufenacht (1 for 3) and Devin Beltz had an RBI each.

The Blackbirds then picked up a 6-3 win over Liberty Center Friday in a game called after the top of the fifth due to rain.

Pettisville hosts Edon today at 5 p.m.
