Wauseon softball drops a pair

Each team pounded out 10 hits but Liberty Center made the most of theirs, defeating Wauseon 8-3 in NWOAL softball Monday.

Meghan Skeens went 1 for 3 and knocked in a pair of runs for the Tiger offense. Wauseon’s Ally Tefft went 1 for 4 and also drove in two runs.

Mallory Weaver earned the win in the circle, scattering nine hits and allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings of work. Juli Spadafore pitched the entire game for Wauseon in taking the loss.

The Indians (11-4, 3-1 NWOAL) then fell 3-0 at Eastwood on Tuesday. They will visit Bryan today before traveling to Delta on Friday.
