Indians participate in Bobact Invite

BOWLING GREEN- Wauseon track and field took part in the Bobcat Invitational at Bowling Green High School Friday. The boys finished sixth out of eight teams with 46 points, while the girls finished eighth with 26 points.

Kyle Vernot earned a third place finish in both the 1600m and 3200m for the Wauseon boys. Aaron Beck placed third in the 800 meter run.

Beck, Joshua Lowry, Michael Cheezan and Owen Newlove finished third in the 4×800 relay with a time of 8:41.61.

In the field, Kyle Zirkle placed third in the discus with a throw of 143 feet, 3 inches.

The girls had runner-up finishes from Halen Mealer in the 300m hurdles and Hannah Richer in the 3200 meter run. Mealer placed second in the 300m hurdles with a time of 49.86, while Richer took second in the 3200 with a time of 12:28.45.
