Staff Report

Delta baseball split a doubleheader at home against North Baltimore Saturday, falling in the first game 3-1 but bouncing back with a 5-4 victory in game two.

The Tigers tallied three runs in the top of the seventh to take game one. Bill Rader got the win on the mound while Travis Dunning took the loss for Delta.

However, Dunning would be the winning pitcher in the second game. Offensively for the Panthers, Cole Mattin went 2 for 2 with a run batted in, Gabe Freeman was 2 for 4 with three stolen bases, and Justin Anderson finished 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Following a road match-up at Sylvania Northview on Monday, Delta hosts Lake today at 5 p.m.
