Wauseon girls place 14th at state bowling tournament

COLUMBUS – Wauseon wrapped up their bowling season at the Division II state tournament Friday and Saturday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

The girls team, making their second consecutive trip to the state competition, took 14th.

Their best bowler was Kama Brackman who tied for 30th, rolling a 149, 175 and 203 for a 527 series total. Payton Lovins recorded a 205 in her first game, then a 138 and a 163 to tie for 44th with a 506 series.

Jenna Simon (85th) added a 424 series, Summer Brown (88th) rolled a 399 series, and Mackayla Kearney (89th) a 286 series.

In the boys competition Nic Kearney placed 41st for Wauseon. He rolled a 576 series total with game scores of 154, 213 and 209.
