Pettisville golf is looking to have a bounce back year in 2015. The Blackbirds only departed one letter winner from last year’s team, but have only a four person roster as they head into the season.
“(We are) Working hard and striving to improve upon our regular season and tournament conference finish from a year ago,” said Pettisville coach Ed Bracken of his team.
The Blackbirds finished 0-15 and placed sixth in the Buckeye Border Conference in 2014.
Looking to help the Birds improve are returning letter winners Evan King (second team All-BBC) and Matt Krill. Hannah Meller is the lone Blackbird lost to graduation.
Bracken is encouraged with the fact that his team brings back King and Krill, but the overall roster depth and getting consistent play from his guys are two things that worry the coach.
The coach, much like with any sport, will have to wait and see how things play out.
Pettisville begins its golf season with a quad featuring Archbold, Ayersville and Fayette at Ironwood tomorrow at 4 p.m.
