Colt Ward, a first grader at Wauseon Primary School, won the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick contest for the state of Ohio in a event held at the Cleveland Browns Training Facility on Nov. 20. He was victorious in the 6-7 year old division.

His score was also the second best in the nation, and as a result, Ward and his family will be flown to the national competition which will take place during the NFL Pro Bowl Festivities in Orlando the last weekend in January.

Ward is one of four kids in the 6-7 age group that will be competing for the National Punt, Pass and Kick title.

To make things more interesting, Colt’s father Tom Ward won Ohio’s Punt, Pass and Kick competition when he was 9 years old.
