Area players make first team

Many athletes in the area received accolades on the Associated Press All-Northwest District football teams that were released last week.

For Wauseon in Division IV, Jacob Raabe made first team all-district offensively. Defensively for the Indians, Chase Reynolds received first team honors.

Second team defense for Wauseon were Brendan Wilson and Everett Bueter. Making honorable mention were Junior Martinez and Owen Newlove.

Swanton had nine players honored in Division V.

First team offense for the Bulldogs were Gunnar Oakes, Zach Dziengelewski, and Nick Koback. Aaron Hazlett and Jonathon Shanks were first team defense for Swanton.

Second team offense were Ben Burke, Marek Spiess, and Michael Lawniczak. Honorable mention all-district for the Bulldogs was Tim Rankin.

Also in Division V, Nic Rodriguez of Archbold was named second team defense. Toby Walker was honorable mention all-district for the Blue Streaks.

Jesse Beverly and Jaccob Wolford of Delta were honorable mention all-district in Division VI.
