Jayli Vasquez, catcher, (formerly of Delta) and Madyson Yackee, pitcher, both of Wauseon, are set to compete at the 10U North American All Sanctioned World Series Fastpitch All-Star game in Columbus, Ohio on July 30.

The purpose of the All-Star game is to give the girls a chance to meet and play with girls from different states and teams, as well, as realize the other girls are not “the enemy” but kids with the same interest as them. The All-Star game also gives the girls an opportunity to be coached by members of the Akron Racers, a professional fastpitch softball team.

Both Vasquez and Yackee play for Fast Wizards Organization out of Holland, Ohio coached by Amy Ritter and Ryan Yackee. Vasquez currently has a .512 batting average along with 12 throw outs. Madyson Yackee has a .435 batting average along with 147 strikeouts.
