Wauseon boys, Archbold girls runner-up at Walker/Dilbone Relays

Wauseon finished second and Archbold third in the boys meet, while Archbold was runner-up and Wauseon third in the girls meet at the Walker/Dilbone Relays at Archbold on Friday.

Bowling Green won the boys meet with 118 points and the Anthony Wayne girls took home the title, also with 118 points.

The Wauseon boys got victories from the distance medley team of Aaron Beck, Seth Hutchison, Caleb Blanchong and Kyle Vernot, and 4×800 relay team of Tyler Wilson, Christian Suarez, Beck and Blanchong. Additionally, the Indians’ Daniel Hench cleared 12-feet in the pole vault.

Helping lead the Archbold girls to victory was the 800 sprint medley team of Tess Heidenreich, Julia Lambert, Emily Roth and Dakota Stamm; the 4×200 relay team of Lambert, Stamm, Morgan Miller and Roth; and 4×400 relay team of Lambert, Lexa Richardson, Gwynne Riley and Roth who each claimed titles.

Roth leaped 16-feet-and-one half inch which proved best in the long jump relay, while Sydney Ranzau cleared 9-feet to tie for first in the pole vault.
