Staff Report

The Archbold baseball team swept North Central in a home doubleheader Tuesday, winning 11-1 in game one and 4-0 in game two.

In the first game, Ben Bucklew was 3 for 4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs while Bryce Williams went 2 for 3 and knocked in three runs. Bucklew did not allow a hit in the game that was shortened by the OHSAA run rule, and he also struck out nine batters.

Archbold’s Brandon Miller got the win on the mound in game two as he allowed two hits and struck out 12 in the complete game effort.

Archbold next travels to Montpelier tomorrow before hosting Fairview in a doubleheader on Saturday.
