Defiance overwhelms Wauseon

Wauseon softball gave up eight runs in the top half of the seventh inning to let Defiance open up a nine-run lead. This helped the Bulldogs earn a 10-1 victory Saturday at Wauseon.

Defiance recorded their 10 runs on 12 hits.

Erin Douglass finished 1 for 3 with an RBI for Wauseon. Ally Tefft and Reagan Spadafore also had hits for the Indians.

Caroline Turner, Emily Turner, and Zariah Scott each had two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Brooklyn Miller went 3 for 4 and also added a walk.

Miller also pitched a complete game, giving up just a run on three hits while fanning 11 batters. Freshman Alisa Shelt took the loss for the Indians after allowing nine runs on 12 hits while striking out five.
