Lady Indians finish 14th at state

COLUMBUS – The Wauseon girls bowling team closed their season with a 14th place finish at the Division II state bowling tournament on Saturday in Columbus.

Wauseon had a team total of 2,827 points.

Summer Brown finished 46th for the Indians after rolling a 520 series total. Jenna Simon added a 479 series and Payton Lovins 462.

Mackayla Kearney rolled a 183 in her one game while Sarah Mikolajczyk notched a 118.

Coldwater led in qualifying with a 3,393 team total. In the area, Napoleon was sixth at 3,160.

The top eight from qualifying advanced to the championship round. Napoleon made it all the way to the final before falling to Mechanicsburg and finishing as state runner-up.
