Wauseon High School wins bowling sectional

NAPOLEON – The Wauseon girls bowling team won a sectional championship in Napoleon on Saturday. The Indians scored 3,347 to beat out second place Napoleon, who had 3,255.

Summer Brown led Wauseon with a 516 series and Mackayla Kearney had a 506 series.

With the victory, the Indians advance to the district tournament in Rossford on Thursday. Also qualifying as individuals were Alli Hite of Delta and Courtney Wilson of Evergreen.

As a team, Delta was eighth, Swanton 10th and Evergreen 12th.

On the boys side, Wauseon was fifth, just missing out on qualifying as a team. Nic Kearney did, however, qualify as an individual with a score of 729.

Delta’s Blake Gladieux also qualified with a 570.
