Several area athletes received honors when the all-district football teams for the Northwest District were announced last week.

In Division IV, Wauseon lineman Cam Sauber and running back Everett Bueter were named first team all-district offense. On the defensive side, lineman Trevor Rodriguez was first team all-district.

Dawson Rupp of Wauseon was selected first team all-district as a punter.

League champion Archbold received many honors in Division V.

Quarterback Gabe Petersen made first team all-district offense. Nic Rodriguez was first team all-district from his defensive back position.

Also for the Blue Streaks, David Dominique earned coach of the year honors in the district.

For Swanton, offensive lineman Lukas Reiner was first team all-district. Lineman Xavier Williams and defensive back Gage Pachlhofer were first team all-district defense for the Bulldogs.

Evergreen had three players make honorable mention all-district in Division VI. Getting honored were Hunter VanWert, Nick Beemer, and Grant Donnald.
