Streaks, Indians place high at Archbold Invite

A few area cross country teams competed in the Archbold Invitational held at the Archbold Reservoir on Saturday.

Highlighting the boys competition was Wauseon who finished first with 76 points. Archbold finished third with 100 points while Evergreen was 13th.

Leading the Indians was Caleb Blanchong who came in at fourth, Kyle Vernot who finished seventh, Seth Hutchison 13th and Aaron Beck 14th. Archbold’s Logan Garrow finished fifth while teammate Luke McQuade placed eighth.

Also, Swanton’s Brett Bettinger and Josh Bradish finished 18th and 22nd respectively.

The Indians were third and the Blue Streaks fourth in the girls meet.

Hannah Richer led the way for Wauseon with a ninth place finish. Also, Brianna Coblentz placed 12th for the Indians.

Archbold’s Dakota Stamm placed fifth with a time of 21:02.09. Gwynn Riley added a 13th place finish for the Streaks.

Also in the county, Swanton’s Rayven McMahan placed 31st while Evergreen’s Grace Bryson was 39th.
