Fulton County deputies issued 14 citations during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted Aug. 18-Sept. 3 in conjunction with the National Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. The citations were issued for 11 speed violations, a marked lanes violation, an open container of alcohol, and operating under the influence of alcohol. Deputies made 49 traffic stops and issued 37 warnings, and one person was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
A Traffic Enforcement Blitz will be conducted Sept. 13-17 during various hours in various locations around the county. Deputies will look for distracted driving, safety belt, speed, and impaired driving violations.
Traffic blitzes are funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
