North Clinton Church in Wauseon will collect items for its Hurricane Harvey Relief drive through Sunday, Sept. 10.
Bring items Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m.-noon to help fill a truck at the church at 831 W. Linfoot St. Items are also accepted at a semi-trailer parked at the Fulton County Fairgrounds near the water tower. Church representatives will deliver the items to the Houston, Texas, area as soon as possible.
Items requested include:
Personal – One: bath towel; hand towel; wash cloth; sturdy comb; metal nail file; 3 oz. soap (not Jergens or Ivory) in original packaging; pint-sized and gallon-sized Ziploc bag; adult toothbrush; full-sized tube of toothpaste; small box of Band-Aids; non-scented deodorant or antipersperant; bottle of water; protein snack bar; flashlight with new batteries; 5-gallon bucket with seal-tight lid; case of bottled water.
Clean-up supplies – De-humidifiers; portable blowers; air circulators; extension cords; ground fault protectors; pop-up canopies; wet/dry vacs; shovels and wheelbarrows; crowbars, hammers, utility knives, work gloves, and dust masks; pressure washers; blower fans; ladders, buckets, chainsaws, clippers, and yard tools; tools for boarding windows; tarps, ropes; portable lights and generators; nail guns; sawhorses, spray paint; safety glasses; kitchen dishwashing gloves, mops, brooms and deck brooms; 5-gallon buckets with resealable lids and smaller buckets; liquid laundry detergent, liquid household cleaner, dish soap, bleach/Kilz, scrub brushes, cleaning wipes, sponges, scouring pads, paper towels, disposable rags, can air freshener, clothes pins and clothes lines; heavy-duty trash bags, insect repellant spray, first aid kits, toiletries, and rain ponchos.
Financial contributions may also be made. Make checks out to North Clinton Church, which will use the funds to purchase items for the flood victims.
