Sauder Village presents barbershop singing

Sauder Village in Archbold is the place to be Saturday, Aug. 26, for the annual Barbershop Sing featuring the Southern Gateway Chorus of Cincinnati at 1 p.m. in Founders Hall.

The men of the Southern Gateway Chorus have a great tradition of success in international competition, and a camaraderie built around their love of four-part barbershop harmony. The group is celebrating more than 60 years of being a world-class chorus, and have delivered performances for audiences in major cities throughout the United States and Canada. They have been featured in the Chicago Theatre, Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall, and the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.

The Southern Gateway Chorus has been awarded more medals in international competition than any other barbershop chorus in the world, and has twice won the coveted gold medal. For more information about The Southern Gateway Chorus visit https://www.southerngateway.org

“Hosting a late summer barbershop music concert has been a tradition at Sauder Village for many years,” said Kim Krieger, media relations specialist.
