Motorists cited in traffic blitz


Deputies issued 10 citations during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office July 20-23 and July 28-30. The citations included six for speed violations, two for driving under a suspended or revoked driver’s license, driving under the influence of alcohol, and a seat belt violation. Deputies also issued 21 warnings and arrested a person on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

A Traffic Enforcement Blitz will be conducted Aug. 9-13 during various hours at various locations around the county. Deputies will look for distacted driving, seat belt, speed, and impaired driving violations.

Traffic blitzes are funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
