Sauder Village in Archbold will present an afternoon of inspirational music and family fun on Sunday, June 11 during the annual Gospel Music Concert and Faith and Family Day.
The afternoon concert at Founder’s Hall will feature the talents of Jim Stewart, the Shane Brothers, and the internationally-acclaimed Gospel Group Three Bridges.
Pianist Jim Stewart opens the concert at 3:30 p.m. with both contemporary songs of praise and traditional hymns. The 4 p.m. concert featuring Three Bridges and The Shane Brothers is included with admission to the village.
Three Bridges’ music is rooted in traditional “southern gospel” music, with tight harmonies, a unique vocal style, and an energy packed stage presence. They have entertained through recordings, TV appearances, and live shows. For more information about Three Bridges visit www.threebridges.net
The Shane Brothers, Jeff and Mike Shane and Jim Loving, from Bluffton, Ind., will also be performing. The troupe began in 1992, and has performed with notables like Glen Campbell, the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, the Kingsmen, the Florida Boys, and the Booth Brothers. The group and its members have recorded more than 40 albums. For more information about The Shane Brothers Quartet visit www.theshanebrothersquartet.com.
The village has also planned a “Faith and Family Day” as part of the annual Gospel Music Concert event. There will be old-fashioned games to play, free face painting, hymn sings in the village church, and a fun craft activity for children.
“We look forward to having many families and church groups join us for our Gospel Music Concert and Faith and Family Day again this year,” said Kim Krieger, media relations.
