Kite Fest Sunday at Homecoming Park in Wauseon

This Sunday bring your kite to Homecoming Park Hill for the annual Kite Fest. The fun starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

The Wauseon Congregational United Church of Christ will provide lemonade, hot dogs and snacks for families and friends who come to enjoy the event. Free kites will be provided while supplies last.

The Kite Fest honors Pentecost, the celebration of the birth of the Christian church. Around the world, congregations will read the story of the wind and fire of the Spirit of God. The scriptural account in the book of Acts describes the wind and fire of the Spirit that emboldened the earliest Christians. Parking for the event is located by the Homecoming Hill. Preregistration is not required.
