Celebrating a tiny dancer

Wauseon Primary School dedicated a Friendship Bench on May 16 to Ava Coronado, a 7-year-old first grader who passed away Feb. 7 following a brief illness. The bench was made possible by donations from Josh Schnitkey and Gary Storch of Custom Agri Systems, Inc. of Napoleon. The frame was planned and built by Josh and his crew. The redwood boards were donated by Brent King of King Lumber in Wauseon. Steve Hageman of Fastenal in Wauseon donated the hardware, and Ray Wilson completed the bench. The school also held a celebration of life for Ava, and celebrated the character trait of friendship throughout the day. Mini dancers from Stars Unlimited Dance & Baton Studio in Wauseon performed.
