Students can learn about military academies

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) invites all high school students interested in attending a U.S. military service academy, and their parents, to an informational meeting at St. John’s Jesuit High School and Academy in Toledo on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 p.m.

At the meeting, students will be able to learn about the service academy nomination and appointment process for the 2017-18 academic year.

Staff from Latta’s office will be present to answer questions. Representatives attending the event will include: the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.; the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.; the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colo.; and the Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point, N.Y. Potential candidates will be able to obtain an application for military service academy nominations at the meeting. Applications are due no later than Sept. 30.
