FFA joins in orientation

The Evergreen FFA Chapter participated in the eighth grade orientation that was held Feb. 13 at Evergreen High School.

The event offered incoming freshmen the opportunity to meet teachers from the high school, learn of the programs and classes that are offered, and gain an understanding of what the next four years of their school career entails.

As part of its curriculum, the Ag 3 business class promoted its agricultural program and the FFA by designing a booth that told of the opportunities that awaited freshmen who take the class. Pictures, information, a slideshow presentation, and a barn were just a few of the things FFA officers and students presented to entice new students. Officers offered games, free gifts, live animals, and photo opportunities.

Freshmen were given insight through the promotion project as to what the FFA has to offer and what they might expect to learn in the classroom if they were to sign up.
