Workforce summit held


“Preparing for Challenges in the Workforce” Summit was held at Northwest State Community College Tuesday, Feb. 7. Representatives from education, business, and government met to hear about the current issues and initiatives that are being developed in the region and throughout the state to keep Ohio moving forward in workforce development to meet employer needs. Discussing the future of education and Workforce Training for Ohio were, from left, Gary Cates, Senior Vice Chancellor for the Ohio Department of Education; Dr. John Richard, Deputy State Superintendent of Public Instruction; Jim Hoops, Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives; State Representative Craid Riedel; and Ryan Burgess, Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation.
