A lesson in aid

The nursing program at Northwest State Community College in Archbold recently held a mass trauma simulation in cooperation with Four County Career Center’s adult education department. Northwest State nursing students Mindy Frische (left) and Ashton Stalter (center) are joined by Four County adult education paramedic student Lisa Diekman (right), as they tend to a lab explosion “victim” portrayed by Nate Byrd III, an FCCC high school senior. The simulation included a triage and the aftermath of a mock explosion in the NSCC plastics lab, followed by communication and delegation activities for the NSCC and FCCC students.
