The City of Wauseon will begin leaf collection Monday, Nov. 7.
There will be no brush pick-up during leaf pick-up season, and the last pick-up for brush will be the week of Oct. 31.
When piling leaves, do not place them on top of brush, because city crews cannot pick up leaves that have been mixed with brush or other items. Rake your leaves to the curb, but do not put them in the street; the leaves will plug up the storm sewers which can cause flooding.
The city crews will pick up leaves twice in the north and south parts of town during leaf season. Leaves can also be dropped off anytime at the Public Works garage. The leaves may be dumped in the compost pit along with flowers and garden waste. Do not bring brush or shrubs. The compost pit is located on the back drive from Linfoot St.
