Staff report

Fulton County 4-H Camp, a five-day camp experience with this year’s theme, “4-H Wild Kingdom,” will be held June 12-16 at Camp Palmer near Fayette.

Camp activities include swimming, fishing, campfires, skits, dancing, canoeing, Putt-Putt golf, archery, matt ball, Capture the Flag, and participation in the Shooting Sports activity – shotgun and/or rifle – or the Challenge By Choice High Ropes Course if pre-registered.

A special selection of camp crafts will also be available, including the clover lamp craft, leather crafts, marble magnets, and scrapbook page.

Campers will experience the power of group cooperation and develop leadership skills and self-confidence. They’ll be led by 37 counselors who have each spent 30 hours in training to plan and prepare for this summer camp.

This year’s camp fee is $155 per person. Partial scholarships for 4-H members are available until June 1, provided funds are available. Applications for scholarships as well as camp registration forms are available at the Fulton County OSU Extension Office or at fulton.osu.edu.

4-H Camp is open to both 4-H and non-4-H members, and fills on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration begins after May 15 for non 4-H members. There are no phone-in registrations, and registrations must be accompanied by full payment by June 6.
