Clarks’ 65th anniversary


Sterling and Marilyn Clark of Angola, Ind., are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. On May 19, 1951, Marilyn Yvonne Armbruster married Sterling Wesley Clark.

They met at a small country church, North Dover Methodist, near Wauseon. Both had attended Chesterfield-Dover, a small rural school, where they became high school sweethearts.

Sterling is a retired farmer, and Marilyn, also retired, was co-owner of C and C Fads and Fashions clothing store in Wauseon, and was office manager for the Chesterfield-Dover school district.

They raised three children on their family farm near Wauseon: Beverly (Donald) Wyse from Shoreview, Minn., Pamela (Jim) Weber from Angola, Ind., and Sterling Wesley Clark II from Largo, Fla. They have been blessed with 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Marilyn and Sterling and their family will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at a family event in May.
