Wauseon woman injured in crash

A Wauseon woman was critically injured Monday morning following a one-vehicle accident in Pike Township.

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Lori Johnson, 45, was traveling northbound on County Road 11 north of U.S. 20A at approximately 7:55 a.m. when it went off the east side of the roadway. Johnson over-corrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the west side of the road and overturn in a field.

She was transported from the scene by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where she is listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care unit. She was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol use is not suspected.

The OSHP was also assisted at the scene by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Wauseon Fire Department.

The accident remains under investigation.
