Each year the Fulton County Farm Bureau donates a book to each elementary school and public library in Fulton County in an effort to educate young children about the importance of agriculture.

This year’s book, “First Peas to the Table written by Susan Grigsby and illustrated by Nicole Tabgell, received the Ohio Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau award for Children’s Literature.

Check out this new book at your local library. This book talks about how Thomas Jefferson inspired a school garden.

The book is also available for purchase at the cost of $10 from the Fulton, Henry, Williams, and Defiance County Farm Bureau. Call 419-445-0723 for more information.
