Nine motorists cited in traffic blitz

Nine citations were issued during a Traffic Enforcement Blitz conducted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office from March 25-26. All citations were issued for speed. Deputies made 28 traffic stops and also issue 19 warnings to motorists.

The next traffic blitz is scheduled for April 1-9 during various hours in various county locations. Deputies will look for distracted driving, seat belt, speed, and impaired driving violations.

The traffic blitzes are funded through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

The sheriff’s office will also participate with several law enforcement agencies throughout northwest Ohio in the “Circle Toledo 2016 Campaign” from April 1 until 6 a.m. April 2. Deputies will focus on the same violations listed above.
