Local family honored


Jordan, Kylee, Beckett, and Tess O’Neil of Wauseon, recently accepted the Smoke Detector On Guard (Smoke D.O.G.) Award from the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of State Fire Marshal and the Wauseon Fire Department for their actions to escape a house fire on Nov. 22, 2015. The ceremony was held at Founders Hall in Archbold. The Smoke D.O.G. Award recognizes people who escape a house fire by responding to the warning sound of a smoke detector.
