WPL offers computer classes

Several programs are upcoming at the Wauseon Public Library.

Have you gotten a new electronic “toy”? A new computer, laptop, e-Reader or i-Pad? Do you need help learning the basics? Are you new to the internet? Want to learn how to surf the web, set up an email account, or just want to learn how to put together a resume, cover letter or flyer on the computer?

Then call to reserve a spot at the Wauseon Public Library’s free, one-on-one computer classes Thursday, Feb. 18, 10:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. Library staff will assist one-on-one.

The lessons are free, but space is limited. Registration is necessary for the one-hour segments.

Have you ever wondered what stuffed animals do in the library at night? The Wauseon Public Library will host a free Stuffed Animal Sleepover for children on Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

Children are asked to bring their second favorite stuffed animal to the library for a bedtime story time. Children’s Librarian Rachel Dominique said, “We will read two stories, have a bedtime snack, tuck the stuffed animals into bed, and yes, leave them here overnight.”

Children are welcome to wear their pajamas to the library Feb. 22, then return Feb. 23 to discover, through pictures, what their stuffed animals did throughout the night.

For more information on the computer classes or the Stuffed Animal Sleepover, please contact 419-335-6626, visit the WPL Facebook page or email amurphy@seolibraris.org.

The library’s Board of Trustees will hold its monthly board meeting Monday, Feb. 22, 6 p.m., in the library’s second floor board room. The public is welcome.
