State chair to address local Republicans

Republican State Chairperson Jane Timken will address local Republicans at the Party’s annual “Harvest Picnic” to be held on Oct. 26. The event will start at 6:30 p.m., and is held at Rotary Shelter House, Wood Street in Wauseon.

Timken graduated cum laude from Harvard and received her J.D. summa cum laude from the Washington College of Law. She has been very active in many charitable organizations including CommQuest, and the North Canton Medical Foundation.

Her community service includes nine years as a Trustee for Kent State University, where she was Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Timken was also a member of the Board of Directors of Trillium Family Solutions and was Treasurer of the Canton Regional Transit Authority Tax Levy. Jane is married and has two children, and, for fun and relaxation, she plays competitive USTA tennis.

Other Republican candidates will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity to meet the new State Chairperson and to talk with candidates for other state and local offices. Details for attending the picnic are available by contacting Sandy Barber at 419-260-1796.
