The Pettisville School Foundation announced it has appointed John Poulson and Thomas McWatters III as trustees.
“We are fortunate to add the benefit of John’s and Tom’s expertise and experience to our board. We look forward to working with them,” said Steve Switzer, superintendent and executive director of the foundation.
Poulson is a 1977 graduate of Fairview High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education and Animal Science in 1981, followed by his M.S. in Agriculture Education in 1988. Since 1990, Poulson has served as instructor of agriculture education and FFA Advisor at Pettisville High School. Last December, he was honored as the National AgriScience Teacher of the Year.
Thomas A. McWatters III received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Taylor University in 1982, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo, College of Law in 1986. He also holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Duke University and an M.A. in philosophy of religion in ethics from Biola University. McWatters is a partner with Barber, Kaper, Stamm and McWatters. He serves as law director to the City of Wauseon, and as special counsel to the Attorney General of the State of Ohio.
As part of the Pettisville School Foundation’s 30th year celebration, it will be unveil a commemorative mural at this fall’s Meet the Team Night/Junior Class Supper on Nov. 14. The event is open to the public.
